Extra Test Practice

Here are some exercises to practise for the 7th grade Test on Tuesday, 3rd April. It deals with grammar and structures covered in Unit 4.

I Complete the sentences with the correct form of the verb (infinitive or gerund).

III Choose the correct form of the adjectives.

IV Make dialogues for the situations. Use the cues.

Reporting advice

Za savete u indirektnom govoru koristimo glagol advise (advised) i (not) infinitiv.

Modals in the Passive Voice

Pozdrav, osmaci.

Evo novih rečenica u kojima se pojavljuje pasiv. Vaš zadatak je da ih uradite za domaći, a proverićemo ih na času 20. marta. Ako bude nedoumica ili ako budete imali pitanja, slobodno pišite.

Prebacite aktivne rečenice u pasiv i naravno, vodite računa da objekat iz aktivne postaje subjekat u pasivnoj, npr.:

Aktiv: They should invite John to the party.  Pasiv: John should be invited to the party.

  3. Somebody must warn people.
  4. They must finish the report by tomorrow.
  5. Somebody should clean the room at once.
  6. Students should memorize irregular verbs for next class.

  8. Somebody could steal the jewellery.
  9. The police mustn’t interrogate her.
  10. They should serve the dinner at 8 o’clock.

PS: Ne zaboravite pravilo: modalni glagol + be + past participle.
